Springtime Wants to Dance
/By Laura Adams — Updated March 20, 2024
Colors fill in black and white
Sunshine winks her strength
As flowers bloom from budding seeds
And daytime finds her length.
Briskness flirts with heat-filled dusks
The tired wipe their eyes
In front of them lies ample time
To dust off winter’s tries.
Newness paints the skies again
A rainbow makes her mark
The proof that fresh beginnings lie
Just beyond the dark.
Any rain that sprinkles down
Brings good luck, light, and life
the vow of peace in newfound hues
And hopes of futures bright.
Springtime sweeps in like a waltz
And glides across the lands
Soft and tender – dazzling
Asking to hold hands…
With you.
With you.
With you.
